    A parent's natural anxiety and desire for the well-being of their children is often compounded by vocational pressures that limit their ability to follow-up on their child's schooling as much as they might like. School hours tend to coincide with the hours that parents spend at work; and often when parents do get a chance to visit their child's school, they find it difficult to get hold of its administrators due to the demanding schedule associated with handling large student populations.

    Third Parent deals with this problem directly. Upon obtaining parental authorization, we become akin to a "Third Parent" to their child, undertaking to visit his or her school regularly on their behalf to follow-up on academic and social progress. With each visit, we provide parents with a thorough report detailing our findings. This authorization enhances the role of the parent, as we as consultants return to them with constructive solutions and effective practical steps- combining the effort made by both school and parents to establish what most benefits their child.
  • Action Plan
    The world of education changes constantly, with regular advances and developments- keeping up with it is a full-time job. As a result, parents often find themselves isolated from what is applied at schools in terms of curricula, lesson plans, and modern teaching methods and techniques. Often when parents are invited to discuss a school's academic approach, mothers and fathers find themselves immersed in a sea of academic jargon that frequently makes little or no sense to those not trained in education and school management.

When our experts visit a school on behalf of parents, their goals are clear, and their questions precise and confident. Their aim is to uncover the child's practical difficulties in relation to both learning AND personal development. Having obtained detailed information from the school, the child is then tested independently. This validates the information provided, and may explore areas not touched on by the school. Overall, the process creates a clearer picture of a child's development that we share with the parents - minus the jargon.
  • School-Parent Partnership
    Parents who witness their child struggling to study naturally feel a need to help. Quite often the only available solution is to hire a tutor that does not necessarily attempt to look carefully and with concern for the true causes of the problem. Parents are frequently told that their child’s underachievement is due to characteristics ‘inherent’ to the child; that he or she is wayward, refuses to learn, does not like school, or lacks concentration or even intelligence.

    C-Pi® believes that even those problems that may be labeled as ‘inherent’ evolve directly or indirectly from a student’s educational history. In most cases, the solution lies in the school’s close cooperation with parents to lay out a clear and accurate individual study plan. ‘Third Parent’ intervenes on behalf of parents, collaborating with the child's school to create a complete study plan through which we improve academic achievement.
  • Support Program
    In an attempt to provide their children with academic support, parents often resort to hiring tutors to provide booster lessons at home. Unfortunately these lessons generally represent only temporary solutions that add pressure to the child’s workload without treating the real reasons for weakness. Such cannot represent a researched solution that will ultimately solve the problems once and for all. Instead the child eventually learns to be dependent, relying completely on the assistance of a third party for the explanation of even basic academic concepts. What initially seems both beneficial to the student and reassuring to the parent, in reality exacerbates the problem.
